I Hate My Love Life is a romantic comedy starring Reggie Hayes (Girlfriends) and Terri J Vaughn (The Steve Harvey Show) that sheds light and humor on the challenges of relationships and the never-ending struggles of new aged dating. 

Logline

After years of bickering, a well-seasoned married couple decide to go on dates with other people to see if the grass is really greener on the other side.

Synopsis

Married for more than 25 years, Dave and Angie Turner have hit a rough patch in their relationship. Listening to bad advice from their friends, the internet and podcasters has them believing life is better in the streets.  Unable to come to a resolve, their quirky life coach gives them an option- if you think life is better without your mate, go on a date with someone else and see. 

The couple dives into the dating pool headfirst, only to find out it’s contaminated. Angie pursues a fling with a younger guy who slides in her DMs, but turns out to be into BDSM. Dave lands a date with a striking IG model, who strikes out IRL. Their painful dating experiences help them realize there is no place like home.

Fundraising Goal

This rom com will come to life as a 10-minute short film. The plan is to make this hilarious short film a film festival favorite and use it as a demo/proof of concept to attract a feature film production deal.
